School of Practical Ministry
The Second Year builds upon the foundation of the First Year with a focus on practical application. Students are enabled to develop their public speaking skills for both formal and informal settings using the spiritual resources and revelation which they have received at Charis. All second Year students are required to take part in a mission trip either abroad or in the UK. These trips give the students an opportunity in a ‘real life’ situation to experience the reality and effectiveness of what they have learned. Mission trips are frequently life-changing events and are often the means of launching students into their calling.
The curriculum includes modules on excellence in ministry, a lifestyle of worship, New Testament survey, pioneering ministry, leadership principles and many more.
We find that by the third term the students have become confident in the Gospel and in their abilities as ministers of reconciliation.
